NOTE: IF THE TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE 25 DEGREES, MEANING THE POOL IS NORMALLY OPEN, IT WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.





HIRE FEE 

0 - 40 People $100/hr (includes mandatory lifeguard fee)

40+ People $150/hr as a second lifeguard will be required.

80+ people $200/hr as a third lifeguard will be required. etc.etc.

If over 5hr booking, second lifeguard will be required to allow for mandatory rest periods.


If the pool is open to the public, a refund will be issued upon request and normal enrty fees will apply.

BBQ available for hire 

(A minimum 48hrs prior to booking is needed)

POOL HIRE CONDITIONS



1. The person named as the representative of the Club or Group hiring the Facility is totally responsible for the use of it. The responsibility covers the actions of the Club/ Group members as well as guests, Spectators etc.

2. It is mandatory for the pool to provide a lifeguard for your booking. The Lifeguard will let you into the pool, and lock up at the end of your hire period if the pool is not open to the public during the booking time. All persons shall abide by the instructions and decisions of the lifeguard at all times.

3. Glass bottles are strictly prohibited from use at the pool.

4. The pool is strictly a NO ALCOHOL area.

5. The pool grounds are strictly a NO SMOKING area. All smokers are to leave the grounds if they wish to smoke.
6. All facilities used by the hirer must be left in reasonable condition at the end of the activity. This includes canteen, toilets and change rooms. The cost of additional cleaning if necessary after the activity, will be charged to the hirer.
7. 
All damages and breakages over and above fair wear and tear, will be charged to the hirer. It is the hirer's responsibility to notify the Pool Committee about any damage ASAP.

8. The Pool Lifeguard is responsible on behalf of the Balaklava Swimming Pool for ensuring that all doors and gates are secured at the completion of the activity.

9. The Pool First Aid Kit is kept in the canteen and will be available for use if prior arrangement has been made with the pool committee.

10. The Pool Facilities must be vacated no later than 10:00pm.

11. You must not use any ground penetrating equipment, (eg. tent pegs) at any time, due to potential underground infrastructure damage. Shades are only to be used with weights to secure and by prior arrangement. Any damage caused will be at hirer's cost.
         

POOL SAFETY



NORMAL POOL RULES APPLY AND MUST BE FOLLOWED.

• BACK FLIPS, RUNNING, DIVES AND BOMBING NEAR OTHERS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
• NO SWEARING OR INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR.
• FOR THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OTHERS PLEASE STAY HOME IF UNWELL.
• THE COMMITTEE ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE INCURRED.
• NO ANIMALS INSIDE POOL GROUNDS
• ANY PERSONS VIOLATING THESE RULES WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.  
• ABSOLUTLEY NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED        

FIRST AID EQUIPMENT IS AVAILABLE IN THE CANTEEN IF REQUIRED
       

A TELEPHONE FOR EMERGENCY CALLS IS ALSO AVAILABLE IN THE CANTEEN IF REQUIRED


BY CREATING A BOOKING, I AGREE TO THE ABOVE CONDITIONS AS SET OUT BY THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE OF THE BALAKLAVA & DISTRICT WAR MEMORIAL SWIMMING POOL.
